The District of Sechelt installed 26 of these signs between 2009 & 2012. Beach salvaged old growth red and yellow cedar ~ laden with oils and tannins it’s likely to withstand some weather. Collected from beaches between Gambier and Nelson Islands.
The joinery is pegged mortise and tenon, with scribed shoulders. Designed to be maintenance free, though of course nothing is for ever. We distressed the concrete foundations to simulate rock.
